With our extensive experience and unique expertise, we understand that not every client is prepared to take over the support for a system once our implementation work is complete. Many clients value FinServ’s deep industry knowledge, attention to detail, and white-glove service they experienced during their implementation. They often ask us to take on a Managed Services Post-Implementation support role for the system or its overall business process, providing them with a sense of relief and reassurance.

When FinServ takes on the Post-Implementation role, we focus on ensuring that the following key areas are covered:

  1. Training – While FinServ’s implementation approach involves extensive User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”) and Training, users often don’t focus on the new system until it is live. This means users need real-time training on key aspects of their day-to-day work with the new system or business process. FinServ provides the highest level of one-on-one or group training to key team members to ensure they are comfortable using the new system or working on the new business process in the most efficient way possible. The difference with FinServ Consulting is that our deep expertise in the industry allows our team members to understand the function that the user fills in the industry, and we can make suggestions and provide insights that other technology resources or consulting firms cannot.
  2. User Request Support – When users begin to use a system in a live environment, new requests will often surface regarding system enhancements or additional requirements. FinServ sets up a support infrastructure to capture all user requests and work with the client to ensure that key requirements are quickly met and implemented. Knowing that user adoption of a new system is critical, the support from a dedicated team during the first few months of a new system or new business process can make or break a solution for a Hedge or Private Equity fund.
  3. Engagement with Software Vendor—Another key area where FinServ’s Post-Implementation support excels is in our proactive engagement with the software vendor. We continuously push the vendor for additional system enhancements related to our clients’ needs, working to ensure that critical updates to the software are placed on the vendor’s roadmap. This proactive approach ensures that the system supports our clients effectively and positively. Additionally, we keep our clients and users informed of any new features and how those new features can enhance their current processes.
    Our team is deeply committed to ensuring a seamless process during system updates. We work closely with the client to implement any new updates from the software vendor, ensuring that introducing a new release to the system is smooth and efficient. This commitment to our client’s success is a cornerstone of our service offering.
  4. Industry Best Practices – FinServ has been a leader in supporting clients in the alternative asset management industry for the past twenty years. As a result of our experience, we can share the best practices we have seen from other clients in the same industry. We analyze key business processes and observe how other industry leaders utilize the same software, recommending best practices to our clients every two to four weeks. We review recommendations in a client executive meeting, and once authorized by the management team, the FinServ team will implement the agreed changes and updates to your environment.
  5. Flexible Post-Implementation Support – In addition to completing a successful implementation, FinServ often offers clients a flexible model to provide ad-hoc post-implementation support. Often, large clients will undergo a longer transition period in which internal teams continue to migrate to the new software long after the system has been successfully implemented. During this phase, FinServ continues to support clients on an ad-hoc basis and troubleshoot any issues that might come up. This also saves the clients the need to hire a full-time permanent resource, which can incur significant overhead costs. Instead, by relying on FinServ, the clients can save significant expenses. We want our clients to feel valued and important, and we strive to ensure their success at every step of the way.
  6. Effective Feedback Systems – Establishing feedback loops is crucial for ongoing improvements after an implementation. Continuous monitoring for post-implementation issues allows for identifying potential challenges, enabling the clients to address them swiftly. This involves creating mechanisms for gathering feedback to inform iterative enhancements and maintaining vigilant oversight to ensure a successful post-implementation phase. Through the weekly status meetings and using Issue Tracker systems such as MS Lists, FinServ ensures that all the issues are identified and resolved quickly, with the feedback passed to the relevant personnel.
